Cante

This new album follows the same path of exploratory Portuguese music and culture, in this case, with traditional songs resulting from the collection made by Maria Rita Ortigão Pinto Cortez, whose ethnomusicological work, absolutely essential, brought together a rich collection of Alentejo songs from the city of Serpa. This represents an eclectic variety of traditional songs and poetry originating in that region until the mid-1980s, called Sing.Nuno Côrte-Real made arrangements for these works in his brand new Songbook Book Second, here interpreted by ensemble Darcos or by the exceptional Ricercare Choir.
